BabyGotMac: Turn your Mac into a web server

MAMP is awesome. I work on websites that require having a local database and webserver to get work done. When I switched to a mac this program was a godsend along with EasyEclipse for OSX I was able to get up and running in no time at all.

I'm interested to hear why MAMP is not to be used "live". If I change the MySQL password etc., is it any less secure than the built-in web sharing?
