From what I gather, the people that are complaining do it because they are too cheap to pay the $15 upgrade. Also from the MacHeist forums its becoming more clear that MH may be at fault for not clearly defining the terms of the promo in an official agreement. Who does a million dollar promo without a written agreement???

Practice what you peach , Jay! You've just made a totally unfounded accusation about MacHeist users being cheap and another about MH defining the terms of the agreement. And why should you pay twice for the same product?

Re: Yazsoft announces major Speed Download 5 Upgrade for Mac OS X

Be very careful before making unfounded accusations and/or taking sides. They told the mac heist organizers that the product was the same as what we would get if we bought it from their store. Now they are offering free upgrades for SD5 if you bought it during the MH...but MH customers are not eligible. So much for 'same as if you bought it from the SD store".

They have yet to address this issue and instead point to other issues as the source of the confusion. They had a chance to make it right, but instead are rubbing Mac Heist customers noses in it with smug comments and email replies.

Re: Yazsoft announces major Speed Download 5 Upgrade for Mac OS X

Please be aware of the current problems surrounding Yazsoft's upgrade policy before deciding to do business with them.

They have used a "bait and switch" scam tactic to try and extract money from MacHeist customers.

http://www.macmerc.com/news/shareware/4401
